WSTX Technical Services provides clients with the solutions necessary to make them successful. We are a small family business that started in 2012, and our staff has a combined 50+ years of industry experience with advanced degrees (MS, MEng, and PhD) in electrical and system engineering. We specialize in using the COMSOL Multiphysics® software for RF and microwave applications and also provide system design, verification, and test guidance.
Areas of Expertise
We have generated models of wireless systems operating up to 10 GHz, optimized antenna placement in compact handheld systems, maximized performance of multi-GHz/multi-Gbps data links, as well as others. Our clients have observed an excellent correlation between measured and simulated performance, minimizing their design cycle time and cost to ensure their success.
We provide a wide range of services to our clients, such as high-level design guidance and creating models in COMSOL Multiphysics® that are ready to run along with a comprehensive analysis of the simulation results. Example services include but are not limited to:
Electromagnetics modeling in both the time and frequency domains
Antenna design, including phased arrays with far-field radiation patterns as well as gain and directivity optimization
Antenna-structure interaction, including the effects of antenna placement in systems and optimization of antenna placement
Signal integrity simulations of multi-GHz analog data links and multi-Gbps digital data links, including connectors (such as SMA, SMP, N-type, etc.); transmission lines (such as coaxial cable, microstrip, stripline, coplanar waveguide, coplanar waveguide with ground, etc.); vias (including blind and buried); ground planes; and custom electromechanical interfaces
Printed-circuit-board-to-connector interface impedance simulations and optimization, including through-hole, edge launch, and surface mount interfaces
Impedance simulations of components and integrated circuit packages, including ball grid arrays, quad flat no-lead, custom hermetic packages, and pogo-pin test beds
Electromagnetic coupling and crosstalk simulations
Electromagnetic interference and electromagnetic compatibility simulations

Our clients also request our support troubleshooting issues with their current designs. Additionally, we provide test planning and test support as well as data analysis and custom scripting.
