How to eliminate the errors in model

When i run a model ,maybe i have to divide some rough meshes in area I'm not interested in as my computer is not very good. But, my model will appear some errors in the area divided into rough meshes. I try to set the variable phase (Level-Set model)equate zero in the area in model event，but it doesn't work. Is there any method can remove the error in given area except refine the meshes？ Thanks!
