Slide & squeeze film damping

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi COMSOL community,

I am modeling a micro piezo cantilever with an air domain around and interested to find the effect of squeeze and slide film damping (especially slide film damping) on the natural frequency of the cantilever. On top and bottom of the cantilever, there is an infinite air domain but there are walls at the sides of the cantilever that traps the air in-between. My questions are: 1) Which multiphysics physics i have to use for this simulations? 2) How can i define the infinite air domain on top and bottom of the cantilever?

Thank You.
