Plateau–Rayleigh instability on Comsol

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello all This may seem like a standard problem. I am interested in simulating the P-R instability on COMSOL using the level set method. I am aware of an existing sample "Jet instability" provided by comsol. However, I want to introduce a small pertubation to the initial liquid interface and then see how the long jet becomes unstable with time.

Does anyone have any idea how could I introduce an pertubation (which would a sine function) to the initial cylinfrical (rectangular) geometry and analyze the breakup?

Thanks
