Why PML in structural mechanics module doesn't work?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Here are two simple cases for structural waveguide.

First one, I define the PML(click 'absorb in x direction') to be on the left half of the beam and

solve the frequency response by applying a harmonic force on the right hand side wall.

Result: Enclosed please find the attachment 'deg0.gif'

Second one is an identical model, but its geometry is rotated 45 degrees (click 'absorb in x & y direction').

Result: Enclosed please find the attachment 'deg45.gif'

Why PML doesn't work in the second one?

Is there any PML solution for a rotated model?

Thanks!
