The Application Gallery features COMSOL Multiphysics® tutorial and demo app files pertinent to the electrical, structural, acoustics, fluid, heat, and chemical disciplines. You can use these examples as a starting point for your own simulation work by downloading the tutorial model or demo app file and its accompanying instructions.
Search for tutorials and apps relevant to your area of expertise via the Quick Search feature. To download the MPH-files, log in or create a COMSOL Access account that is associated with a valid COMSOL license. Note that many of the examples featured here can also be accessed via the Application Libraries that are built into the COMSOL Multiphysics® software and available from the File menu.
This model compares the solution to the model equations of a tubular reactor using Danckwerts inlet and outlet conditions. A second almost identical model is defined with extra inlet and outlet sections where no reactions occur. The concentration at the beginning of the inlet section is ... Read More
This model computes the particle flux, number density and pressure on the surface of a plate that rotates in a highly directional molecular flow. The results obtained are compared with those from other, approximate, techniques for computing molecular flows. Read More
This model shows how to use the features of the Heat Transfer Module to reduce the computation time and memory usage in view factor computations. Illustrative results of speedup and memory usage reduction are given on a benchmark model. The solution is not computed, only the view ... Read More
These examples demonstrate how to use a job sequence to perform a programmatic sequence of operations, including solving; saving the model to file; and generating and exporting plot groups, results, and images. In the blog post associated with these files, "[How to Use Job Sequences to ... Read More
This example shows how to create a time-limited and hardware-locked application. It is associated with the section "Time-Limited and Hardware-Locked Applications" in the _[Application Programming Guide](/documentation/ApplicationProgrammingGuide.pdf)_ Read More
The Curve Digitizer application can be used to digitize/extract curves from images. This application provides an easy way to digitize a variety of 1D plots with different axes in Cartesian or Polar coordinate system. After a curve image is imported, the digitization is done in a few ... Read More
This model computes the fundamental eigenfrequency and eigenmode for a tuning fork that is synchronized from Creo Parametric via the LiveLink interface. The length of the fork is then optimized so that the tuning fork sounds the note A, 440 Hz. Read More
This example minimizes the mass of a bracket that is synchronized from SOLIDWORKS® via the LiveLink™ interface. There are limits both for the lowest natural frequency, and for the maximum stress in a static load case. The size and position for a number of geometrical features is changed ... Read More
