surface tension

i try to study liquid bridge phenomenon between micro particles.
i use microfluid two phase flow level set method to solve it.
at first liquid is rest in void between particles, then it is pulled by a negative pressure(1e5 Pa).
but the surface between liquid/air exert a surface tension to keep liquid stop.
now i face a problem. why i extend solve time then it do not get convergence?
and should i consider knudsen number because the feature length is very small (2e-6 m),
