Laser heating of a plate

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hey,

im new to Comsol and i want to simulate laser-heating a plate. I used the laser_heating_wafer.mph model as a guideline. But when i change the parameter of the laser-beam-radius to something like 50µm (focus diameter of the laser im using for the expirment is 100µm), the T_max and T_min values are completely useless (see screenshot). I deleted the movement of the wafer and adjusted the parameters for the test-setup im using. With the simulation i want to see how high the max temperature of the plate is so i can design a proper isolation to prevent heat-transfer.

Thank you!
