Electric potential induced by DC current -- Equation used in COMSOL 3.5

Dear community,

I have created a stack of material and bias DC current for monitor electric potential in COMSOL ver 3.5, heat trasfer module. I use "Postprocessing --> Boundary integration --> Electric potential (Express V: Unit V.m^2) and then select boundary for monitor electric potential accross stack. I want to know the equation that COMSOL use to calculate this value. And if I want to get the location at the boundary that has the maximum potential , how to do that??

Thx so much,

Kanuengnit
