Cannot link comsol with matlab.

Hi,
Now I want to link matlab with comsol.
I know there are two methods, click the 'COMSOL 4.2a with MATLAB' or set up manually in matlab. But NONE of them works.

1. When I start 'COMSOL 4.2a with MATLAB', just the matlab starts, it doesn't link with comsol. when i type mphstart, it said "Undefined function or variable 'mphstart'."

2. when i start matlab, type
>>addpath ('C:/Program Files/COMSOL/COMSOL42a/mli')
>>mphstart

then it said
Error using mphstart (line 117)
A connection to Comsol could not be established. Please check that a Comsol Server is started prior to calling
mphstart

What's wrong with it?

Hope you could help me.

Thanks.

Hi

the simplest is to reinstall, but before, check your versions, and the Knowledge Base (KB) on the main site, there are several hints there too

Good luck
