Three Electrodes:Is it possible to measure voltage, admittance, or impedance at each individually

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi all, I'm having some trouble figuring out how to extract the information I would like from my simulation and hoping someone here would be able to help...

My simulation: I've got three electrodes which are being used to sense changes in media as insulating bodies pass above the electrodes.

The 3 electrode layout is: a port electrode, with forced voltage is centered. On either side of the port, there is a ground electrode.

My hope: I would like to compare the voltages, admittances, impedance, at each of the ground electrodes individually.

Is this possible within COMSOL?

Thanks for any help!
-Eric

Hi Eric,

I am working on a similar problem as you with 4 electrodes. I am applying current on the outer 2 and want to measure the voltage between the inner 2 electrodes. I am using comsol 3.5a and seeking your help as you have worked on the similar issue.

Thanks,
Kirthika.
